Half way through the light lovel
I got time to finally read the light novel further and now I’m half way through. It’s pretty intersting, but a lot of details about Okabe’s arrest were mentioned later on, so i’ll have to change my concept of how his room looks. I think i should first read everything before starting to look for background images… In the next days i’ll start with the writing part, this means i should hopefully make noticeable progress. If it’s not to difficult i’ll think about creating something which has point and click elements, which could get pretty interesting.

Since I got replays of reddit users who offered to help me I thought about how you could the best way. One possibility would be to help me creating scenes by using novelty, but since this is a bit much of work not all of you may be interested. One easier possibility would be to take certain scenes of the light novel and rewrite them in dialog form. This could help me writing the script, the only thing which is important is to create an extended version of these scenes because just taking the sentences the characters say and write them one after another will end up in a dialog which isn’t nearly half a minute long 😉 You could also help me looking for background images etc. If you’re interested write me on reddit, even if you already did so, I want to get an overview about who’s still interested and who’s not
I made a decision
I tried TyranoBuilder, the software which isn’t free and made a very good impresion on me. After playing around with it i’ve to say that it’s easy to use, but if you want to have real creative freedom it isn’t worth it’s money. So i’ll use Novelty, even if this means you won’t be able to resize the window. It’s not a big issue but it’s annoying, it’s really sad that the developper doesn’t care about his program anymore…
Bad news about novelty
Guys, i noticed compiled visual novels will crash whenever you go to fullschreen, minimize them or change the size of the window. I’m not sure if i want to use this program under these circumstances. There only seems to be one good vn editor out there, which isn’t free. I’ll think about a purchase, working hard on a novel which has this many problems afterwards isn’t really motivating.

this is my first post here, it’s about the opening screen. It is the rusult of hard hours i had to get used to novelty, the program i’m using for the creation of my novel. It seems to be discontinued since 2010 and you can’t get any support anymore, but it’s one of the best programs for this which exist i think.
